Before there was White Pine, there was Kobald. We have uploaded a song from that time long since past. This song has never seen the light of day. Why? Who is to say. Just bad timing, one would assume. In any case, this one was a rare one to begin with; due to the strange presence of vocals. Sure there are a few clams thrown in for good measure, and the recording quality is slightly lacking; but, is music really music if it never gets heard? Stay tuned. Other old nuggets, as well as some new ones, are soon to be uploaded.

The few times that we played this song out it was usually introduced as "one for the ladies". Jeff Van Earwage, Kobald's bass player at the time, sang this one. He also played the Hammond on the recording.

Jeff moved on to start his own project under the moniker "Browns My Favorite" http://www.brownsmyfavorite.com/music/default.htm

Chris Palmatier played guitar and sang one of the back-up parts, and two young ladies sang the other back-up parts. One of the young ladies was named Julie, and she had her own band and was also a bartender at the Kilowatt in SF (she might still be). Brian Fraser played drums and Tom Petersen played guitar. This one was recorded at Expressions. The reason why this one never saw the light of day was probably that it was such a departure from what Kobald was doing at the time.
